(Swaad) 38 : 34
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَانَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَىٰ كُرْسِيِّهِ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ
And We had tested Sulaiman and We placed on his chair a body, then he repented.
Sulaiman who was an emperor of a wide kingdom wished for a son after him. But to show him that the son would be heedless and worthless, a dead body was placed on his throne. Prophet Sulaiman understood its Message and he repented and prayed to the Lord as told in the next verse. Through this event Three Time Knower Lord was testing him. See explanation 21: 35 and 27: 19.
